If you’ve ever watched Spy X Family, you know exactly who Anya Forger is—a cheerful, assertive, pink-haired child who easily wins hearts and makes everyone around him laugh with his silly antics. Her charm lies not so much in her psychic abilities but in her deeply flawed but adorable identity. As someone who constantly admires Anya Forger’s uniqueness and shameless nature, I thought, “Why not give it a try? Why not see if I can mirror him and see life the way he does?” Spoiler alert: it didn’t go as planned. Here’s a deep dive into my (entertainingly terrible) attempt to be like Anya Forger.
Start: Why I Chose To Be Like Anya Forger
Before diving into the mess that was my attempt to exemplify Anya Forger, let me start by clarifying why I thought this was a great idea. Anya is the ultimate blend of fun, fearless, and carefree. He has a boundless sense of enterprise, not afraid to humiliate himself or create controversy. In countless ways, her identity is an inspiration to anyone struggling to be themselves. I had to tap into that same carefree vitality. So, I tried for a while to live my life as fairly as he did – spontaneously, without concern about how it looked to others.
What Motivated My Decision?
- Her Bold Nature: Anya Forger is not decently absent from Botch’s creation, and it’s part of what makes her character so likable. His slips are not disappointments, but the beginning of development. Who wouldn’t be like that?
- Her Creative Powers: Anya’s ability to see the world in its inventive right, a sort of way was another calculation. He is a child, but his intelligence is limitless. It’s the one thing that makes his identity pop.
- Her Relatability: Despite being pretentious, Anya’s inner monologue and reactions are entertainingly human. His troubling minutes, confusion, and miscalculations are things that everyone can relate to.
With all this in mind I thought, “What if I drag a little ‘Anya Forger’ mantra into my own life? Well, let me tell you – it was an encounter, to say the least.
Step 1: Acting Like Anya Forger In Social Situations
Part of my plan to begin with was to mirror Anya Forger’s quirks in social situations. After all, a huge part of what makes him so adorable is how he interacts with others. On a typical day, Anya never shies away from making a scene, but constantly in a charming way. It seems so straightforward when he does it—just his true, unvarnished self.
How Did I Try To Imitate Others?
- I’ve Caught Thoughts : One of Anya’s traits is her ability to acknowledge and appreciate her hardships. I chose to take a leap of faith and speak openly without stressing about how others would react. Comes about…mixed. Without a doubt, I got a few sneakers, but I had some painful experiences where I had to backpedal quickly.
- Telepathic Considerations: Where I can’t accurately examine minds like Anya, I try to channel her certainty by imagining my abilities. In situations where I was unsure of myself, I would act as if I knew exactly what others were considering, which made for some unbalanced but clever interactions.

Sometimes being yourself, if indeed it’s a little uncomfortable, is rejuvenating. But don’t expect everyone around you to get it. Anya is nurtured because of her characteristics, but those characteristics are acknowledged by her family.
People may laugh at you or think you’re eccentric, but there is excellence in owning your individuality, just like Anya Forger.
Step 2: Experiment With Pink Hair
Another part of my efforts on the Anya Forger channel included trying to duplicate seeing him. Anya’s distinctive pink hair is a huge part of her famous look. I chose to try and emulate her hairstyle, but not without some procrastination. How can I pull off pink hair in the real world?
How Do I Go Around It?
- Temporary Hair Color: I chose temporary hair color to get the closest imaginable color to Anya’s bright pink locks. issue? Pink hair does not fade quickly. I ended up with a stunning shade of bubblegum pink that I haven’t been able to get rid of in ages.
- The Fashion: Anya’s hair is styled short and somewhat haphazardly but in a charming way. I tried my best to emulate this fashion but ended up looking like a confused child who had undergone a horrible haircut.

- Confidence is key: Looking at her as undoubtedly fair as Anya, I’ve learned that pulling off something tough (like pink hair) takes confidence. But it’s not cruel the results will always be perfect.
- Embrace the fun: Even though I wasn’t actually pulling off Anya’s famous scene, I made an impact trying to do something out of my comfort zone.
Step 3: Attempt Clairvoyance
Anya’s clairvoyant abilities are a major part of her charm, but I can’t study much. Or can I? I thought, “Why not try to act like I can hear what people are thinking?”
How Did I Try To Mirror It?
- I knew to act like what individuals were considering: I would arbitrarily guess around what individuals were considering and routinely yell at them in an additional way. Incidentally, I’ll ask, “Are you thinking about pizza right now?” And when someone would say, “No,” I’d say to myself, “Oh, wait, I meant tacos!”
- Misunderstood Settings : Anya often interprets things completely unexpectedly from what they are. I took that approach in confusing situations or indeed by replying with simplistic expressions and completely disconnected comments, as fair as that.

- Being cheeky is critical: Although I haven’t developed much assertiveness, I’ve learned that in some cases, cheekiness and restraint can make a conversation more fun. But it makes a difference to put things in context – don’t take it too far.
- Owning Flaws: Anya makes mistaken assumptions a huge part of her identity. Embracing them (without actually accepting yourself) can lead to some really happy moments.
Step 4: Realizing Anya’S Devotion To Her Family
In the anime, Anya has a strong, boundless love for her family despite constantly not understanding what’s going on around her. This was one of the most endearing aspects of his character and I needed to emulate this same devotion and worship in my daily life.
How did I try to channel it?
- Unquestionable Reliability: Much like Anya’s loyal devotion to her “family,” I strive to be stronger toward those I care about without addressing their actions or interests. I realized that while being strong without judgment is vital, maintaining harmony in relationships is even more fundamental.
- Protective nature: I took a page from Anya’s book and made it for my mates without any doubt, in fact when they weren’t looking for it. Whether it was through a little movement or a huge act of thoughtfulness, I tried to channel that protective attitude.
Main Text
- Obedience can be: not close to taking after another’s devotional orders; It’s almost adorable and it’s the most thing when it appears back. This lesson resonated deeply with me – sometimes, the smallest acts of thoughtfulness can strengthen bonds.
- True Association: Realizing boundless nurturing isn’t always easy, but it creates important relationships with the people around you.
Conclusion: Confused Terrible Reality
In conclusion, my attempt to be like Anya Forger was, to say the least, entertainingly imperfect. While I’ve definitely learned important lessons by embracing my characterization and becoming more relaxed, it’s clear that portraying an anecdotal character — especially one as extraordinary as Anya — comes with its challenges. Regardless, I picked up an untapped admiration for the character and the nuances of what she says: self-acceptance, individuality, and the ability to be yourself.
So, if you ever find yourself discovering what it would be like to be like Anya, my advice is basic: Embrace your inner child, make interesting choices, and don’t worry about laughing at yourself along the way. Don’t bleach your hair without considering the consequences.
